Accident Investigation Training

Course Overview:
Our accident investigation training will give delegates a broad understanding of the accident investigation process, looking at the benefits of accident prevention and putting the emphasis on practical training exercises and real-life case studies.

Course / Session Duration:
The duration of this course varies. A one-day Level 1 course, 2-day Level 2 course or we can deliver a more in depth, Level 3, three-day course. This course can be delivered online or as a traditional face-to-face tutor led session on your own site or venue.

Learning Outcomes:

To understand the principles of accident investigation

Be able to recognise the benefits of accident prevention

Learn about the concepts of human factors

Demonstrate understanding with accident reporting and the scope of an investigation

Establish different accident investigation techniques

Engage in practical exercises using case studies to learn about the process and flow of accident investigation

Target Audience:
This training is suitable for line managers, supervisors, safety representatives – and anyone with the responsibility for investigating accidents.

Assessment Method:
Delegates will be required to complete a knowledge assessment at the end of the course and/or a written report example dependent on the level of course. Upon successful completion of the course and assessment, delegates will receive a certificate.
