Working at Height Training

 

Course Overview:

This training course raises awareness of the dangers associated with working at height and the practical steps that can be taken to minimise and control the risks this presents. The course covers the main hazards, applicable legislation, risk assessment, risk reduction measures and key responsibilities of the individual.

Course / Session Duration:

This is a one-day course which can be delivered online or as a traditional face-to-face tutor led session on your own site or venue.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the main features and requirements of the working at height regulations

  • Give examples of common working at height tasks and understand the associated hazards and risks

  • Identify the factors that contribute to persons and objects falling from height

  • Describe the control measures that reduce the risk of falls from height

  • Understand the proper use of access and work at height equipment and safe methods to reduce or eliminate the risk of fall

Target Audience:

This course is designed for those who either undertake, or who employ people who work at height.

​

Assessment Method:

Delegates will be required to complete a written knowledge assessment at the end of the course. Upon successful completion of the course and assessment, delegates can be issued with a certificate.
