First Aid Training Refresher/Re-certification

Course Details 

An Emergency First Aid at Work (Appointed Person) is required for:

  • Up to 50 Low Risk Categories (shops and offices)

  • Up to 20 Medium Risk Categories (warehouses, food processing and light engineering)

  • Up to 5h High Risk Categories (construction, dangerous machinery and chemical manufacturing)

 

First Aider is required for:

  • 50 – 100 employees in Low Risk categories

  • 20 – 100 employees in Medium Risk categories

  • 5 - 50 employees in High Risk categories

 

Additional First Aider is required for:

  • Every 100 employees in Low Risk and Medium Risk categories

  • Every 50 employees in High Risk categories Up to 50 Low Risk Categories (shops and offices)

  • Up to 20 Medium Risk Categories (warehouses, food processing and light engineering)

  • Up to 5h High Risk Categories (construction, dangerous machinery and chemical manufacturing)

Eligibility: Just before the expiry of the HSE First Aid at Work 3 year certification, you can take up this refresher course to re-qualify as First Aider for further 3 years. This course aims to cover all the areas in the First Aid at Work Training course, with time to revise and practice. If First Aiders wish to continue their position after the expiry of the 3 years certification, they must opt for the 3 day First Aid at Work training course for re-qualification.

Location: The First Aid at Work course will be held at the customer’s premises with a minimum of 6 candidates.

Assessment: Practical skills test include CPR, care of an unconscious casualty, recovering position, bandaging and control of bleeding.

Certification: On the successful completion of the assessment you will receive a First Aid at Work Certificate, valid for 3 years. A refresher course before the expiry of this certificate ensures that the students can re-qualify for further 3 years.
