Wheelset Supplier Qualification / NDT Certification Organisations involved in the maintenance or supply of wheelset components are required to be an approved supplier via the RISAS Process. Dependent on the scope of work you undertake, you may also be required to hold Certification for NDT as required by Railway Group Standard GM/RT 2005. Your system and procedures should be integrated with your Quality Management System such that these requirements are demonstrated throughout the assessment. RIQC Limited, a subsidiary of The QSS Group Limited, is an accredited Rail Industry Supplier Approval Body (RISAB) for undertaking the assessments, which lead to qualification of your business. Our Engineers have experience that makes them ‘leaders in their field’ for RISAS assessment and NDT Certification. We will work with you to evaluate your processes and procedures, we will support you in implementation of required actions that may be necessary to achieve the high level of compliance demanded by the Industry and once approval is recommended, submit your recommendation of ‘an approved supplier’ to RISAS. RISAS Approval may be provided for up to three years, dependent on the maturity of your management processes. NDT Certification is a two-year periodicity with an annual surveillance requirement. The reports that are produced are comprehensive documents that provide in detail the facilities, capability, competence and level of technical compliance your Company is delivering. Where required actions are identified, QSS will work with you to develop solutions and improvements needed to gain your supplier qualification. If you need support for RISAS Certification and NDT Certification, call us now and receive re-assurance on what needs to be done. RIQC Limited is the major approval authority for both RISAS Certification and NDT Certification of suppliers to the UK market. Note: RISAS Approval of suppliers of wheelsets and associated components has been mandated by the UK Rail Industry and is supported by Network Rail, ATOC, FOC's and the ROSCO's.
