If Product or Service quality is perceived by your customer as reducing or even has reached the level at which complaints are starting to develop, what do you do?
The QSS Group Limited offer a ‘Resident Engineering’ service utilising experienced and qualified Engineers to review your systems, processes, people and actual practices to identify what needs improving. Our Engineers will work with your staff to provide guidance on what should be done and mentor those staff to facilitate implementation of change and achieve improved standards.
The external review that a Resident Engineer brings enables an impartial assessment of the level of compliance being achieved. It enables their experience to be shared with you and your people, including recommending best practice. Their recommendations for improvement are offered and implementation can be delivered by your teams or by further support from QSS. With quality back on track, we hand back to you.
Whether it is the introduction of a new product or service, the creation of a new team, or the changes in location and facilities, any of these items can create the ‘dip’ in performance that, if not addressed, will impact quickly on the quality of your output.
Generally a Resident Engineer will provide short term support whilst improvements are implemented, other examples have existed where the product is transferred between locations, i.e. transfer of work between depots, for the Resident Engineer to support the transfer ensuring quality and performance are maintained.
Our Engineers identify quickly what needs to be done. They will review specifications, how these are interpreted and the work undertaken. Monitoring people to assess competence, checking that what should be done is done and to the appropriate level of quality. Finally, they will assess technical compliance and provide an interim level of assessment by monitoring testing regimes, a temporary additional level of product authorisation.
Finally, our Engineers will give a physical presence such that you are able to demonstrate to your customer that you are taking the delivery of quality seriously and that your customer’s requirements are important to you and your business.
